About Us
The CardinalBots are a FIRST Robotics Competition team from St. Charles Preparatory School in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 2011 as Team 4269, The CardinalBots participated in the 2012 FRC Challenge, Rebound Rumble. As a rookie team, The CardinalBots placed 5th overall in the Buckeye Regional (Cleveland, Ohio) and won the Rookie All-Star Award, earning them a ticket to the World Chamionship in St. Louis, Missouri, where they ranked 98th in the world.
A year later, Team 4269 geared up for the 2013 season. They doubled the size of the team to 24 young men, and participated in the 2014 Challenge, Ultimate Ascent. After a challenging build season, the CardinalBots attended the Queen City Regional in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Buckeye Regional. At Buckeye, the CardinalBots ranked 7th, and appeared in the quarter-final matches.
This year, The CardinalBots plan to continue down the path of success by building and programming a fun, winning, and respectful team of Gracious Professionals.

About Saint Charles Preparatory School
Since its founding in 1923 by then Bishop of Columbus, James J. Hartley, St. Charles Preparatory School has offered young men the challenge to take part in a tradition of excellence. Serving students in grades nine through twelve, St. Charles has continually provided the opportunity to grow in Christian manhood, to prepare for advanced study, and to develop as well-rounded individuals. Over the years, the school has been proud of its more than 4,000 graduates who have responded to the challenge.
In colleges and universities, in business and professions, in the Church and in society, the St. Charles man stands out as one dedicated to excellence, a habit he learned and lived during his high school years. As nearly four generations of young men have come and gone to St. Charles, the courtyards and playing fields, classrooms and chapels have watched a tradition grow.
Many people consider high school to be one of the important centers of their lives. When a teenager's days at school have always emphasized excellence, surely he is invited to a tradition he can be proud of and carry on throughout his life.
